Google Adwords: Powerful step by step system to generate leads and revenue online.

Would you give me $20 if I gave you $40?

Have you ever heard that testing is the key to successful marketing and advertising? The Internet and Google has made this not only more apparent, but incredibly affordable, quick, and easy to learn and implement – and – did we say affordable?

Honestly – one would go out of business fast in order to give away $40 for every $20 someone gave him or her, yet this is exactly what is happening with Google Adwords (almost). . .

When a business or business owner instills proper advertising, this could be the scenario.

Google Adwords has become a realistic scenario for this to occur. In fact, depending on your ad cost to deliverable revenue ratio, you could actually do much better than double your money with Adwords advertising, and get qualified leads in less than 1 week.

However, testing is the key to successful marketing, and one cannot test if one is not in the marketing and advertising game. So the first step is to get started, regardless of where you are. Once you have identified your product or service, and the target audience you are intending to serve, you are ready to get started.

==============
Here’s how it works
==============

1) You set up a web page that is designed to capture leads or promote a product – many effective pages can be set up and published for very inexpensively, using web publishing software like Dreamweaver by Adobe ™ , Microsoft Expression Web ™ or other similar client-side software. This assumes you have a hosting account (we use Bluehost and spend less than $8.00 per month )

and a domain name where you can publish your page.
Domain names
currently cost between $5.00 and $15.00 per year, depending on the registrar.

2) You then open a Google Adwords account and go through their tutorials on setting up ads. This might take a few days of tinkering and learning the control panels, but Google has made their tools and process incredibly effective and powerful, free to use (except the ad costs – which is usually pennies on the dollar), and easy to learn with their free online training and videos.

3) You determine the wording for your ad(s) and create at least two ads – I would recommend always testing at least two ads at a time for any single promotion. Testing is what separates the amateurs from the professionals. Without testing your advertising, you are surely losing more money than you have to in promotion and advertising.

4) You set up a Google Analytics account to track the behavior of your traffic. This is necessary to get reliable feedback on the behavior of visitors to your site once they are there. Google Analytics is an incredibly powerful free package offered by Google, and they make it available to any web advertiser because it is effective and helps online publishers and advertisers get effective results for their money. Again, testing is the key, and Google Analytics helps you to test with incredible accuracy, insight and precision.

5) You go through the necessary cutting and pasting of Google’s tracking codes into your web page at the appropriate place (it really is as easy as cutting and pasting in a word processing program like Microsoft Word ™ .

6) You set up your Google Adwords account with a credit card, and set your daily budget. You can select the highest price you will pay for a click on your advertising, as well as your daily budget. Once your budget has been reached, your ads get pulled for the day (or whatever you set up as your frequency).

7) You generate a list of keywords and key word phrases you would like to build your ads around. And yes, you guessed it, Google has another free tool available to advertisers that analyzes your key word phrases with comparable key word phrases, while giving you the actual traffic generated through the Google Search Engine on a regular basis – no guess work for your money. You can use their free tool to search for key word phrases used by actual people in the search engine so that you know which phrases to bid for here: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal?defaultView=2

8) You set your ads in motion and watch the traffic begin. The traffic from your Google Adwords campaigns will begin to roll in, and you can view what is happening through your free Analytics panel. Google also makes all of these things available in one online account control panel for integrated access and ease of use. Yes, there is a learning curve, but by getting into their tools and learning a little each day, you can soon be generating qualified traffic and leads to your business, product, or services.

9) Test, test, test for best results. You will need a small budget, but this budget can be several times smaller than a paper or radio advertising budget. In fact, you should learn how to use Google Adwords if for the purpose of testing print ads only. Wouldn’t it make sense to invest $100 and test several ads to find what words are effective, before spending several thousand on print ads, hoping your ad copy is set up effectively? Google has a great tool for testing two pages against each other, so that you can continue to refine the effectiveness of your web presence and landing pages. This tool comes in the package of great Google tools and it is called Google Website Optimizer (but it actually tests the performance of individual pages against other pages you input into your ad and landing page test experiment).

10) Another great tool to use is a form generator, smart autoresponder and lead capture service like AWEBER. This tool is very powerful in that it helps you create and test many kinds of opt-in forms to capture and track leads, and their behaviors. In fact, we use AWEBER. to capture most of our leads, and have helped clients do the same. Once the leads are captured, you can set up a series of automatically emailed messages to your subscriber list so that you can share ideas, market new products and services to them, and bless them with whatever relevant and valuable information you can in order to help serve their business or needs more effectively.

11) Once you have qualified traffic, and are capturing qualified leads, it is simply a matter of testing your ads, pages, messages and process to monetize the traffic.

By beginning to learn and master these concepts and tools, it can become a very realistic scenario of exchanging $20 for $40. By testing and refining your Google ads, traffic and pages, you can essentially invest and refine your ads, generate qualified leads for literally pennies per lead, and test your pages so your conversion ratios continually improve (the number of people who purchase or take the desired action on your site or page once they arrive there).
